General Foreman

Job Summary

:

The Engineering Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance and repair work within the hotel. This includes overseeing a team of technicians to ensure all systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are operating efficiently and in compliance with hotel standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise daily maintenance operations across all areas of the hotel Assign tasks to technicians and monitor work for quality and timeliness Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment rooms Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and documented Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to minimize guest disturbance during maintenance. Troubleshoot and resolve urgent engineering issues Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials Ensure all safety policies and procedures are strictly followed by the team Train new technicians and monitor their performance Report major issues and daily activities to the Chief Engineer

Requirements:

Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering. 2-3 years of experience in a hotel engineering department, including supervisory role Good knowledge of hotel systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, etc. Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and during emergencies Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
