Job Summary:

The General Foreman will oversee all on-site activities at construction sites and manage warehouse operations related to material handling, storage, and dispatch. This dual-role professional ensures quality execution of construction work while maintaining material availability and proper warehouse functioning.

Key Responsibilities:Construction Site Supervision:

Supervise daily site activities for civil and finishing works, ensuring progress as per schedule. Allocate duties to site workers, subcontractors, and equipment operators. Ensure all construction activities comply with safety, quality, and legal standards. Coordinate with the Site Engineer for drawings, instructions, and technical clarifications. Monitor labor productivity, tool/equipment usage, and material consumption. Conduct regular toolbox talks and ensure compliance with HSE policies. Track progress and submit daily reports on site activities to the Project Manager.

Warehouse & Material Coordination:

Supervise incoming and outgoing materials to/from the site warehouse. Ensure materials are stored properly and securely to prevent damage or theft. Maintain inventory of construction materials, tools, and consumables. Coordinate material requests with procurement and site teams to avoid delays. Keep accurate records of stock movement and usage. Ensure the warehouse layout supports easy access and efficient operations. Monitor the condition of stored items, especially those sensitive to temperature or moisture.

Team Leadership & Coordination:

Lead and motivate foremen, tradesmen, and laborers to meet project deadlines. Provide on-the-job training and guidance to new workers. Coordinate with other departments such as procurement, logistics, QA/QC, and HSE.

Requirements:

Education:

Diploma or Certificate in Civil Engineering / Construction Management

Experience:

Minimum 7-10 years in GCC with a strong track record in both civil construction and warehouse supervision

Skills:

Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent understanding of construction drawings and specifications Knowledge of material handling and inventory control Familiar with HSE regulations and practices Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
