Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The General Foreman is responsible for managing on-site teams and overseeing construction projects to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. This role focuses on infrastructure maintenance and project execution, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Site Management:

Supervise and coordinate daily civil work activities, including demolition, structural modifications, plastering, flooring, and associated MEP, fit-out, and civil works. Optimize labor, materials, and equipment usage to meet project deadlines and maintain efficiency.

2. Team Leadership:

Lead and manage site teams, including masons, carpenters, steel fixers, and laborers. Assign tasks effectively, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety protocols.

3. Quality Assurance:

Inspect work to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. Identify and address defects or necessary rework promptly to maintain high-quality outcomes.

4. Coordination & Communication:

Work closely with Site Engineers, Project Managers, and subcontractors to synchronize civil works with other trades (e.g., MEP, carpentry, and finishes). Provide regular updates on site progress and challenges.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Enforce site safety protocols and conduct daily toolbox talks to address potential hazards. Ensure all activities comply with local health and safety regulations.

6. Resource & Material Management:

Oversee the delivery, storage, and usage of materials, minimizing waste and preventing shortages. Monitor tools and equipment, ensuring proper handling and maintenance.

7. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including labor attendance, work progress, and material usage. Submit detailed site reports to the Project Manager.

8. Problem-Solving & Execution:

Address on-site challenges promptly, proposing practical solutions to keep the project on track. Ensure all work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

9. Finishing Coordination:

Coordinate civil works with finishing teams to prepare surfaces for painting, tiling, and other final touches. Support a smooth transition to the final project

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
