Job Purpose:

The General Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of site workers, subcontractors, and site logistics to ensure construction tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with quality standards. The role is critical in managing daily site operations and ensuring work progresses according to program.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate site labor, subcontractors, and activities to ensure smooth daily operations. Ensure that all works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and HSE requirements. Plan and allocate daily work schedules, manpower, and materials in coordination with the Site Engineer. Monitor and inspect work progress and ensure targets are met on time and within scope. Report daily site activities, progress, delays, and manpower status to the Site Engineer or Project Manager. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site; enforce use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols. Coordinate the receipt and handling of materials on site. Identify and solve minor technical or on-site execution issues promptly. Guide and train workers to improve productivity and workmanship. Assist with site inspections by consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Technical Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical discipline or equivalent experience. Minimum 7-10 years of experience in construction or fit-out works, with at least 3 years in a foreman/supervisory role. Strong knowledge of site execution practices, construction materials, and tools. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills. Good understanding of health and safety regulations and enforcement. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced site environment.

Preferred:

Experience in high-end fit-out, MEP coordination, and renovation projects. Familiarity with local authority regulations and site safety compliance in the UAE. Basic computer skills for daily reporting and communication (MS Excel, WhatsApp, etc.).
