Job Summary:

The General Accountant will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The role requires strong experience in trading industry workflows such as inventory accounting, supplier reconciliation, purchase costing, and cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities:1. Accounting & Financial Recording

Maintain general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately. Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Ensure timely closing of monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounts.

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

Manage supplier invoices, LPO matching, GRN verification, and payment processing. Follow up on customer outstanding payments and prepare periodic AR aging reports. Coordinate with sales and procurement teams for invoice clarifications and payment terms.

3. Trading & Inventory-Specific Responsibilities

Monitor stock movements, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold (COGS). Reconcile physical stock counts with system records. Maintain purchase costing sheets, freight/landing cost allocation, import documentation (if applicable). Track price variations, landed cost differences, and product margins.

4. Bank & Cash Management

Prepare daily cash flow reports and reconcile bank statements. Process bank payments, LC/TT documentation, and petty cash settlement. Monitor credit limits, post-dated cheques (PDCs), and deposit schedules.

5. Reporting & Compliance

Prepare financial statements, management reports, and profitability analysis. Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws: filing returns, reconciliation, and documentation. Assist in audits by providing required schedules, records, and clarifications.

6. Internal Controls & Support

Implement and maintain internal financial controls and company procedures. Support management in budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting. Coordinate with external stakeholders such as auditors, banks, and government authorities.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
