General Accountant - Real Estate Development

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Mid-Level Accountant to support the finance operations of our real estate development projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will assist in project-based accounting, VAT compliance, and accurate reporting to support senior finance management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Accounting

- Record daily journal entries and maintain accurate ledgers.

- Reconcile bank statements and intercompany balances.

- Assist in month-end closings and account reconciliations.

2. Project-Based Accounting- Track expenses and revenue by project.

- Assist in cost allocation for construction, sales, and marketing.

- Support escrow-related documentation and developer reporting.

3. VAT and Compliance- Prepare VAT returns and ensure accurate submission on time.

- Ensure compliance with UAE tax and accounting standards.

4. Reporting & Documentation

- Prepare financial summaries and internal reports for management.

- Maintain organized documentation for audit readiness.

5. Coordination

-Work with project managers, sales, and procurement teams on payment processing and budgeting.

- Coordinate with external auditors and consultants as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

- Minimum 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or construction.

- Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and project-based accounting.

- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho, or ERP).

Skills:

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting.

- Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.

- Good communication and teamwork skills
