About the job General Accountant
Our client is a supplier and distributor of bulk crude oil and refined petroleum products.
We\'re looking for a General Accountant for the Dubai location (JLT) to manage financial records, analyze data, and ensure compliance with regulations to support accurate financial reporting and decision-making.

We\'re looking for a General Accountant for the Dubai location (JLT) to manage financial records, analyze data, and ensure compliance with regulations to support accurate financial reporting and decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of direct cash-flow report files daily.
- Preparation and issuance of invoices for costs recharge.
- Support for KYC/clearance process with our counterparties.
- Maintenance of a register of commercial invoices issued and received by lines of business.
- Assistance and support for the preparation of the UAE quarterly VAT returns for several entities.

- Fluent in English (written/spoken).
- Accounting and Financial Analysis strong skills.
- Experience with financial reporting and tax compliance.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and capacity to take accountability on duties.
- Minimum 4-7 years of relevant and extensive experience as General Accountant.
- Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or finance - CPA or CMA certification would be a plus.
- Previous experience in Oil Trading and/or Commodities Shipping is a key requirement given the specificities of our business.
- Proficiency to operate independently a classic accounting system (Master Data, Set-up,
- bookkeeping, edition of reports, etc.).
- At ease using Information Technology tools notably MS Excel (pivot tables, finance functions, data management.
