Job Summary:
The General Accountant is responsible for reconciling all trial balance accounts with detailed schedules and resolve all discrepancies arising in receivables, payables, assets, revenues and expenses GL accounts. The GA is also responsible to assist the Finance Director in preparation of financial statements and timely closing of month end. The role of GA requires preparing / providing support in preparation of various kinds of reports for various stakeholders such as accreditation bodies, IDO, auditors etc.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities The General Accountant is responsible for reconciling all trial balance accounts with detailed schedules and resolve all discrepancies arising in receivables, payables, assets, revenues and expenses GL accounts. The GA is also responsible to assist the Finance Director in preparation of financial statements and timely closing of month end. The role of GA requires preparing / providing support in preparation of various kinds of reports for various stakeholders such as accreditation bodies, IDO, auditors etc. Minimum Qualification and Education Essential academic qualification and professional/vocational certificates:
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • ACA or ACCA or CPA or CMA
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Microsoft — Office Suite Ability to work to deadline
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Work Experience Minimum 5 Years’ experience in a large organization preferably in education sector. Language proficiency required Essential: Advanced proficiency in speaking, reading and writing English. Competencies
