Job Description

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Bookkeeping:

Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately in ERP & QuickBooks. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Assist in processing vendor invoices and vendor payments. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable statements. Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents. Verify accuracy of invoices, including pricing, quantities, and terms. Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable files and records. Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations related to accounts payable.

Bank Reconciliation:

Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger. Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Expense Tracking:

Monitor and track business expenses. Ensure that expenses are properly coded and documented. Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely resolution of invoice discrepancies and payment issues.

Financial Reporting:

Assist in the preparation of financial reports. Generate reports on a regular basis for management review. Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.

Assist in Audits:

Provide support during internal and external audits. Ensure that audit requests are fulfilled accurately and promptly.

QuickBooks & ERP Expertise:

Utilize QuickBooks & ERP to its full potential for efficient financial management. Troubleshoot and resolve any QuickBooks & ERP related issues.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and relevant regulations. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with the finance team and other departments as needed. Provide support to senior accountants and finance managers.

Data Entry:

Accurately enter financial data into the accounting system. Verify the accuracy of data to maintain data integrity.

Qualifications

4+ years' of professional accounting experience in UAE Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience CPA preferred
