The Arts Club Dubai will be perfectly located in the heart of the DIFC, set over four floors and totalling 65,000 square feet, in the brand new ICD Brookfield Place development designed by Foster + Partners.
It will be the first international outpost of the celebrated and historical private members\xe2\x80\x99 club, established in 1863 in Mayfair, London. The Club\xe2\x80\x99s brand new membership will form an exciting new community of like-minded, diverse and dynamic people, all hailing from different cultures and sectors, from the region and further afield.
GENERAL ACCOUNTANT General Accountant is responsible for overall Revenue, Membership and Internal audit of the club in a timely and efficient manner as well as and administering the General Cashier and outlet cashiers. Also providing financial administrative and clerical support to the organization. Evaluate the adequacy of the system of internal controls. Recommend improvements in controls. Assess compliance with policies and procedures and sound business practices. WHAT WILL YOU DO
Your main duties and responsibilities are:
General internal controls and Revenue recognition
Review Daily revenue, Complimentary, Void and Discount reports
Update daily city ledger, billing and payment follow up
Revenue, cover detailed analysis
Front and back office revenue reconciliation
Events reconciliation
Credit Card Reconciliation and timely posting and allocation
Daily journal posting of Revenue and Covers
Verify Discounts and rebates as per the policy
Tax and fees Reconciliation and timely submission concerned authority on time
Handling cashier function including daily roaster, cash change arrangement, Outlet monitoring, spot checks
Daily banking functions
F&B Advance Reconciliation
Preparing Porforma Invoices and follow up
Coordinating with Credit card providers and handling all issues and sorting in timely matter
Handling Membership session, includes renewals, payments, recordkeeping and analysis
Coordinate with Membership team and finalize the counts and reconciliation
Balance sheet reconciliation of all related areas
Month end closing
Other general requirement as and when assigned
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The successful candidate will have the following experience and skills:
Minimum 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in same or similar role in luxury hotels
Internationally recognised degree in Accounts / Finance
Excellent level of English, written and spoken
Experience in Micros Symphony, Microsoft Dynamics, Adaco, 7 Rooms, Smart Invoice
Knowledge in advanced excel
Strong organisational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility
Excellent team management skills with strong problem-solving abilities
Demonstrate integrity in all dealings and maintain high level of confidentiality
