Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare balance sheet, income (profit & loss) statement and statement of cashflows and other reports
- Bookkeeping and daily reporting of day-to-day transactions
- Must have knowledge of procurement process/inventory process, creation of purchase orders, delivery notes, etc.
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
- Conduct internal audit to reconcile financial discrepancies
- Secure financial information by completing database backups
- Complying with all UAE accounting and financial regulations
- Preparation and submission of VAT reports, including monthly VAT returns, VAT refund request forms, voluntary disclosure, entity registration etc.
- VAT accounting
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors on tax related queries
- 7-10 years experience
- Experience in the shipping and logistics Industry preferable
- Qualification - ACCA, CA, etc.
All customers are required to where a mask, common surfaces are sanitized regularly, vaccination requirements, etc Ability to commute/relocate:
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
- Are you familiar with the UAE export VAT refund process?
- Bachelor's (Preferred)
- UAE accounting: 7 years (Preferred)
- ACCA, CA or other accounting qualification (Preferred)
