General Accountant

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced accountant with a minimum of 5 years of expertise in the UAE, preferably within the construction or engineering consultancy sector, to manage and verify our financial transactions. Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the preparation of accurate and compliant financial statements.
- Thoroughly analyze and reconcile bank statements while maintaining a detailed general ledger.
- Post journal entries for accrued expenses and revenue.
- Meticulously manage and record fixed assets.
- Prepare and file local compliance reports as needed.
- Act as a liaison for subcontractors and materials, resolving billing discrepancies.
- Execute month-end close procedures to ensure financial accuracy and reliability.
- Continuously analyze financial reports and forecasts for a comprehensive understanding of the financial landscape.
- Assist in the overall financial statement preparation process with a proactive approach.
- Effectively manage fixed assets and play a key role in local compliance reporting.
- Contribute to the month-end close procedures, providing valuable insights through the analysis of financial reports and forecasts.
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Native Arabic speaker.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction or engineering consultancy industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of ERP systems, including Microsoft Office.
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing work effectively.
- Ajman: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
