Garment Purchase Manager - Fashion Retail - Sharjah

We are a dynamic fashion retailer committed to delivering stylish, high-quality, yet affordable garments to our discerning customers. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a passionate Garment Purchase Manager to join our team and lead strategic buying initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning & Buying Strategy:

? Develop and execute seasonal buying plans across product categories; manage the open-to-buy (OTB) budget.

? Coordinate with store merchandisers to align purchases with in-store needs and timelines.

Trend Analysis & Forecasting:

? Research and monitor global fashion trends, runway shows, market reports, and competitor activity.

? Analyze historical sales data to forecast demand and determine replenishment needs.

Supplier Sourcing & Negotiation:

? Identify and develop supplier partnerships, ensuring cost-effective procurement and timely delivery.

? Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and freight to optimize margins.

Inventory & Performance Management:

? Monitor stock levels with merchandising/planning teams to prevent overstocking or stock outs.

? Track weekly/monthly sales performance and adjust buying strategies as needed.

Coordination & Collaboration:

? Work closely with store merchandisers, marketing, VM, and finance to support launches, promotions, and VM schedules.

? Provide training and support to in-store teams on new arrivals and seasonal strategies.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

? Prepare analytical reports with actionable insights on product performance, trends, and market shifts.

? Continuously identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance procurement processes.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience in fashion buying for garment/apparel. Experience with international suppliers is a plus. Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel and ERP/buying systems expected. Excellent cross-functional communication: ability to collaborate with merchandising, stores, marketing, and finance teams. Proactive, trend-savvy, and able to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
