Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Furniture Upholsterer for our Furniture Department, based at our facilities in Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE.

This individual to be responsible for the re-upholstery and repair for our diverse range of Furniture. This hands-on role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of various fabrics and materials, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Upholstery:

Reupholster and repair a wide variety of furniture, including chairs, sofas, ottomans, and custom pieces, to meet design specifications and quality standards.

Fabrication:

Accurately measure, cut, and sew fabric covers for new and existing furniture, ensuring precise fit and finish.

Repair & Restoration:

Identify and repair structural damage, wear and tear, and other issues on furniture items, bringing them back to an event-ready condition.

Material Management:

Assist with inventory management of upholstery materials, fabrics, and tools.

Quality Control:

Ensure all upholstered and repaired items meet high aesthetic and structural quality standards before deployment.

Collaboration:

Work closely with the design and production teams to understand project requirements and contribute to creative solutions.

Maintenance:

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Requirements:

Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) as a furniture upholsterer and/or fabricator, ideally within an events, hospitality, or design-focused environment. Demonstrable expertise in various upholstery techniques, including traditional and modern methods. Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and other upholstery tools. Strong knowledge of different fabric types, their properties, and suitable applications for event furniture. Excellent measuring and cutting skills with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to interpret design sketches and specifications. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items as required. Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines. A positive attitude and a collaborative spirit. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
