Overview:

Functional Test Lead - Payments & Deposits-TCS BaNCS for Banking Project

Functional Test Lead

to manage and execute functional testing activities for

Payments and Deposits

modules in a

TCS BaNCS

core banking project & requires strong expertise in banking operations, deep understanding of payment systems and deposit products, and experience leading testing teams through all phases of the QA lifecycle
Responsibilities:
Define the functional test strategy for

Payments (domestic & international)

and

Deposits (CASA, Term, Recurring)

modules in TCS BaNCS. Create test plans, scope, test effort estimation, and schedules in alignment with project timelines and quality standards. Identify key test scenarios and high-risk areas for priority focus. Review business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows to create

detailed test cases and test data

. Lead execution of

System Integration Testing (SIT)

and support

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

and regression testing cycles. Perform

interface and end-to-end testing

for payment systems and deposit workflows. Drive

defect triage meetings

, track defects, and coordinate with development teams and the TCS product team for resolution. Ensure clear documentation and classification of defects and facilitate root cause analysis. ead a team of functional testers and ensure test deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements. Ensure adherence to QA governance, testing best practices, and

regulatory compliance

(e.g., AML, KYC, transaction monitoring

Essential skills:

Strong hands-on experience with

TCS BaNCS - Payments and Deposits modules

:

Payments:

RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, SWIFT, ACH, ISO 20022.

Deposits:

CASA (Current & Savings Accounts), Term Deposits, Recurring Deposits, Interest calculation, maturity processing

Desired skills:
Strong understanding of

core banking operations

, fund transfers, payment validations, and deposit lifecycle. Familiar with

test management tools

like

JIRA, HP ALM, or Quality Center

Experience:

8-10 years of experience in QA/testing with

3+ years as a Functional Test Lead

in

banking domain projects
