Overview:

Senior Test Engineer -RFP for Banking project

Senior Test Engineer

to lead and manage the testing lifecycle of projects initiated through Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in software testing within the banking sector, ensuring that all deliverables meet the highest quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements
Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Strategy:

+ Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for RFP-based projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
+ Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to understand requirements and define testing scopes.

Test Design & Execution:

+ Design detailed test cases covering functional, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
+ Execute test cases, document results, and track defects through to resolution.

Automation & Tools:

+ Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to enhance efficiency and coverage.
+ Utilize testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestNG, and others relevant to the bank's technology stack.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

+ Ensure that all testing activities comply with Bank Muscat's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Participate in audits and reviews to demonstrate adherence to quality assurance processes.

Stakeholder Communication:

+ Provide regular updates to stakeholders on testing progress, risks, and issues.
+ Facilitate meetings and discussions to resolve testing-related concerns




Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Essential skills:

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent certifications are preferred.
Desired skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years in software testing, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
