Job Description

A family of three living in Dubai is seeking a modern-day Mary Poppins to care for their 4-year-old daughter. This is a full-time, live-in position, and the candidate will have a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The schedule will be Tuesday through Sunday, with Monday off. Working hours can vary, with the nanny working 6.30am-8am during the week, helping with the morning routine. They will then have free time until 1:40pm, and work through until 8pm. At the weekend, the schedule will be 8am-8pm.

Both parents work from home, so the candidate should be comfortable with this setup. They will work as a team at weekends and visit the beach, go out for lunch, visit friends, etc.

This is a fully staffed household, including housekeepers, cook, and chauffeur, so the nanny will need to be able to work as part of a team. They won't be required to prepare any meals apart from an occasional snack, and this is a vegetarian household.

The family has a second home in Portugal and tends to visit for two months over the summer. When there, the nanny will have their own bedroom and bathroom, and they may also travel elsewhere within Europe and Asia.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and proactive, and genuinely have a love for working with children, and making every day an adventure.

Responsibilities

The nanny will be responsible for all childcare duties, including but not limited to. Transporting their daughter home from school and to extracurricular activities Proactively planning outings, activities, and play-dates Ensure her room play areas are tidy, and wardrobes are organized Incorporating education into all aspects of daily life Encourage their daughter to meet her milestones, with language and reading Travel with the family as needed Preparing snacks and promoting healthy eating at all times Should be alert and safety-conscious Qualifications

Comfortable working as a team with other household staff Focused on teaching life skills and manners Proactive an organized Energetic and engaging Developmentally aware, and able to provide a stimulating and enriching environment Candidates should be flexible, kind, considerate, with a good sense of humor. Requirements
