JOB DESCRIPTION The Freight Specialist is expected to provide accurate and timely freight estimates and quotations to the Sales team within 1 hour to 8 hours of receiving the request. The Specialist will be required to track all shipments and their related costs, from quotation stage through to final delivery and update such costs for reconciliation at invoice approval and settlement stage. Key focus of this function is to reduce the turn around time (TAT) from the time of inquiry to offer. To increase the conversion ratio and win as many inquiries as possible. The Freight Quotation Specialist is a member of the International help desk team within the Tata Express and works very closely with other departments particularly Sales, Key accounts team and finance. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create freight quotations based on existing Vendor rate cards as directed by the Freight Operations Manager.
• Ensure contracted price are documented for each shipment.
• Maintain a log to track freight expenditures against freight quotations and ensure any cost increases get a full and acceptable justification.
• Monitor trends and recommend appropriate interventions or improvements to your supervisor and ensure that all shipments are delivered within budget.
• Once shipment is confirmed, arrange the collection of the shipment, prepare the labels if express shipments.
• Ensure shipments are first brought to Tata Express, for Operations to conduct an audit of the shipment and then connect the same day to the respective service provider.
• Monitor movement of the shipment from the time of shipment leaving Origin/ Destination until delivery of shipment, coordinating with internal teams and providing optimal support across the sales team to coordinate with the vendors to resolve any in-transit issues, while ensuring compliance to organizational requirements.
• Produce a daily, weekly, and monthly log of all quotations created and update costs and selling price, marking clearly the profit earned per shipment.
• Once shipment is delivered, Freight Specialist is to check the final chargeable weight of the shipment, wait for the Vendor Invoices. If any difference in the initial quote and the Vendor Invoice to alert the customer and the sales in charge.
• Post this the Freight Specialist to send an email to the Finance team with the sales in charge in copy to raise the Invoice the same day is email sent before 5pm. Post 5pm the Invoice will be raised the following day. incurred until 3PL is paid and PFSCM invoices the client.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain operations, freight, accounting, data management or related field.
• 2+ years' experience in a commercial organization at a national or international level.
• Previous experience working with data and analytics preferred.
• Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills with strong sense of customer service. English fluency required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work in a team with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Demonstrated analytical skills; solution oriented with a high sense of quality, attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and meeting tight deadlines.
• Advanced ability to work comfortably with Microsoft Office software, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:

Experience:

• Freight & Logistics Industry: 2 years (Preferred)
