We are hiring a

Freight Brokerage Operations Executive

to manage day-to-day brokerage operations, including quoting, carrier coordination, shipment tracking, customer communication, and cost control. This role is firmly

brokerage-focused

, not a freight forwarding role.

The ideal candidate understands carrier-based shipping models, is comfortable working with courier and parcel networks, and can actively source competitive rates while maintaining service quality.

Key ResponsibilitiesFreight Brokerage Operations

Prepare and issue

freight quotations

for air, sea, and land shipments using carrier-based pricing Source and compare rates from

courier and carrier partners

such as

FedEx, DHL, UPS, DPD

, and other approved providers Negotiate and select the most cost-effective carrier options based on price, transit time, and service level Book shipments through carrier platforms or portals and coordinate dispatch Monitor shipment progress from pickup to final delivery Proactively resolve delivery delays, exceptions, and service issues with carriers
Customer & Carrier Coordination

Act as the primary point of contact for customers via

email, WhatsApp, and phone

Advise customers on shipping options, transit times, and cost trade-offs Communicate daily with carriers, agents, and service providers Coordinate with customs brokers or clearance partners when required (brokerage support level)
Documentation, Billing & Admin

Prepare and manage shipment documentation such as

shipping labels, commercial invoices, packing lists

, and carrier paperwork Perform accurate data entry into internal systems and

Excel spreadsheets

Maintain organized digital shipment records Support invoicing and billing coordination with accounting Review carrier invoices, identify discrepancies, and flag cost or margin issues
Requirements

2-5 years of experience

in

freight brokerage, courier logistics, or carrier-based shipping operations

Strong familiarity with

courier and parcel networks

(FedEx, DHL, UPS, DPD, etc.) Proven experience in

rate sourcing, comparison, and quotation preparation

Understanding of air, sea, and land freight from a

brokerage perspective

Proficient in

Microsoft Excel / spreadsheets

(required) High attention to detail, especially around pricing and documentation Ability to manage multiple shipments, customers, and deadlines
Language Skills

English: Required

Arabic and/or French: Advantage
Certifications

Dangerous Goods (DG): Advantage

Working Conditions

Office-based role - Deira, Dubai

Working hours:

11:00 AM - 11:00 PM

(1-hour break included) Occasional overtime based on shipment volume and urgency
