Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Freight Accountant/Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Accounts Payable and Receivable, preparing order and sales invoices, reconciling ledger balances, and maintaining accurate records related to freight transactions. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles in the freight industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Freight Accountant/Analyst or in a similar role within the logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Cargowise is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Process and manage invoices for payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor and manage outgoing payments to suppliers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Invoice Preparation:

• Fill out order invoices accurately based on freight transactions.
• Prepare client sales invoices by established procedures.
• Ensure all invoices comply with regulatory and company policies.
• Data Analysis:

• Analysing data from various internal systems, composing reports/summaries and recommending solutions that are consistent with company goals and objectives.
• Developing strategic and systematic approaches to building out reports and programs based on stakeholder requisites.
• Designing attractive and insightful reporting resources and tools.
• Record Maintenance:

• Compile and maintain all necessary records related to freight transactions.
• Organise and update financial files, ensuring accessibility and compliance with auditing standards.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate recording of freight-related financial transactions.
• Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding billing and payment inquiries.
