Guardian Glass is looking for {Senior Cost Analyst} to join our team.

What You Will Do

Analyzes financial data (labor, materials, overhead) to find cost drivers, create budgets, forecast expenses, identify savings, and support strategic decisions with reports and models, often working with operations/manufacturing to improve efficiency, manage inventory, and ensure accurate costing for new products and projects. Key duties include variance analysis, financial modeling, month-end close support, and presenting actionable insights to management for profitability and cost control. Work closely with the operations teams on understanding their financials, developing KPIs by Provide ongoing analysis, to help plant level teams identify and address the root cause of manufacturing cost variances, in a data driven decision making environment Utilize standards to support financial and operational planning and analysis activities - including capacity, fixed and Variable cost and labor planning. Provide financial leadership and insights into business performance that influences, supports, and increases the speed to business decisions, increases the rate of transformation, informs and guides strategies, and drives prioritization and execution. Develop or improve current reporting tools, financial models and tools to assist the business Participate and Act in diverse analysis and project work supporting the organization and various levels including operations, costing, quoting and other capabilities. Understand the data and use tools such as Excel and Power BI to identify trends and provide insights to support decision-making. Lifelong Learner: Create a knowledge network by seeking and sharing knowledge, building partnerships across the organization. Learn and quickly adapt to change including new systems and processes.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree in an Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Financial modelling experience which includes key driver analysis, economic framing, Business and/or Operations strategies, and innovative approaches to visualization (e.g., EVA, NPV, ROCC, NIAT) Economic thinking skills. Ability to drive application of economic tools/mental models (marginal analysis, DMF/business cases, opportunity cost, risk optimization, capital consumed framework etc.) Business acumen and understanding of manufacturing/operations Minimum of 6-8 years' experience in a similar accounting, costing , operation data analysis or finance role. Ability to work within tight deadlines and attention to impacted details. Aptitude for numbers, solid analytical and planning skills. Is willing to travel in the Africa, Middle East region, but also elsewhere as we try to get some connections and better best practices from other regions.
