Job description Our client is seeking to appoint a highly skilled Forensic Planning Engineer to join a growing disputes team based in Abu Dhabi. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced planning professional to take on complex claims and delay analysis assignments for major infrastructure and construction projects across the UAE. This is a key technical position that will suit a proactive and analytically minded individual with a deep understanding of forensic planning, EoT claims, and the legal and contractual dynamics of delay and disruption. Working closely with legal and construction stakeholders, the successful candidate will provide expert analysis and contribute to high-profile dispute resolution cases. The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning, delay analysis, and claims
Proven experience working on forensic assignments and EoT claims
A BSc. in Civil Engineering or a related field (Project Management, Construction)
Certification such as PMI-SP or PSP is highly desirable
Strong background with Primavera P6 and other project control tools
Previous experience within a specialist claims or disputes consultancy
Solid understanding of contract law and commercial aspects of claims
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Experience delivering expert witness support is advantageous
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting forensic analysis of project schedules to identify critical delays and disruptions
Preparing and reviewing Extension of Time (EoT) claims with detailed supporting evidence
Assessing and quantifying delay impacts on cost, program, and milestones
Producing high-quality forensic reports for legal and contractual proceedings
Working closely with legal teams to support dispute resolution and arbitration
Offering expert insight on concurrent delay, causation, and entitlement
Supporting clients with strategy and risk analysis during claims and disputes
