Role Overview:
The Business Planning Manager, reporting to the Group Manager, will oversee sales forecasts to ensure accuracy in predicting demand. Acting as a key link between the production plant and sales team, this role facilitates alignment and provides insights through variance analysis to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Forecasting: Create and maintain accurate sales forecasts using data analysis and market trends.
- Sales Planning: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and adjust sales plans.
- Cross-Functional Interface: Align production and sales forecasts, facilitating cross-functional meetings.
- Demand Planning: Gather data for demand planning and monitor market trends.
- Forecast Coordination: Integrate sales and supply chain forecasts for production planning.
- Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and provide insights for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve forecasting processes and tools.
- Systems Management: Manage and optimize forecasting software and tools.
- Risk Management: Identify risks in forecasts and develop mitigation strategies.
- Masters degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Experience in sales forecasting and demand planning in manufacturing or tyre industry.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and forecasting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
