JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Supervise the discipline-specific activities of Charge Hands involved in construction activities, ensuring strict compliance with approved safety procedures, craft standards and timely completion
- Develop daily, weekly and monthly work plans, organise crews, allocate duties and monitors performance to ensure deadlines are met and that completed work meets set standards. Prepare reports on work undertaken for consideration by senior colleagues
- Diagnose and troubleshoots complex problems, in areas such as welding, painting and commissioning, providing solutions based on own technical expertise and experience
- Train and mentor junior colleagues in job methodology to enable them to gain an understanding of how work is to be undertaken and to improve their effectiveness. Provide remedial training at the work site, emphasising risk reduction
