Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for measuring, cutting, handling, transporting, and installing various glass types and related aluminium systems on residential & commercial projects. Ensures proper installation, safety compliance, finishing quality, and alignment according to project specifications.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Site measurement & dimension checking prior to fabrication Installation of glass doors, windows, partitions, balustrades, shopfronts, shower enclosures, mirror works, and curtain wall panels Fit, set & seal glass using silicone, structural sealants, gaskets, tapes, shims & spacers Handle & transport glass safely to avoid breakage Drill, notch & cut glass (where applicable) Align, level & square glass & aluminium frames to required tolerances Install hardware: hinges, locks, rollers, patch fittings, brackets, handles, floor springs Perform site finishing, silicone sealing, cleaning & protection works Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements & risk control Coordinate with supervisors, site foreman & fabrication workshop Report material shortages, damages & site issues

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 2-5 years experience in aluminium & glass installation Knowledge of tempered, laminated, double glazed, insulated glass etc. Able to read drawings & site sketches Basic knowledge of hand tools & power tools Able to work at height, scaffolding & lift glass panels Good communication & teamwork skills

Physical Requirements

Lifting heavy materials (glass sheets) Working in outdoor construction environment Ability to stand, bend & climb ladders/scaffolds

UAE / GCC experience is an advantage.
