We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Food Safety and Hygiene Officer

to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all food handling, storage, preparation, and service practices meet the highest standards of safety and hygiene. You will oversee compliance with the Ministry of Public Health, implement internal policies, and conduct regular inspections and training to maintain a safe and healthy environment for both customers and employees. The primary goal is to prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure the safety and quality of food products served to customers.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct audit, investigations and initiate appropriate enforcement actions to a high service level, in a timely fashion, to comply with MOPH policies and procedures. Gather and disseminate accurate operational information and data as required informing operational objectives and advice recommendations. Develop and implement hygiene policies and procedures. Train staff on food safety practices, personal hygiene, and sanitation standards. Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and corrective actions. Oversee pest control, cleaning schedules, and waste management processes. Coordinate with management to ensure continuous improvement in hygiene standards. Investigate food safety complaints and take corrective action as needed. Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO, and Ministry of Public Health requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree/diploma in Food Technology, Public and Environmental Health, or a related field. Certification in HACCP Level 3, ISO 22000, or equivalent preferred. Proven experience in food safety, hygiene, or quality control (F&B, catering, or hospitality industry). Strong knowledge of Ministry of Public Health and international food safety standards. Excellent communication and training skills. Attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities. With valid Qatar Driving License (preferred)
