Job Overview The Captain (F&B) is a senior front-of-house role responsible for overseeing restaurant operations, ensuring excellent guest service, and supervising the service staff. The Captain acts as a bridge between guests, waitstaff, and management, ensuring smooth service and maintaining high standards of hospitality. Key Responsibilities * Guest Service & Satisfaction

• Greet guests warmly, assist with seating, and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
• Recommend menu items, explain dishes, and take orders accurately.
• Team Supervision

• Lead and train waitstaff (waiters, busboys, etc.) in service standards.
• Assign duties, manage shifts, and ensure efficient teamwork.
• Assist staff during peak hours to maintain service quality.
• Restaurant Operations

• Oversee table setup, cleanliness, and adherence to hygiene standards.
• Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely food delivery.
• Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and VIP service.
• Order & Billing Management

• Verify order accuracy before serving.
• Process payments, handle cash transactions, and ensure correct billing.
• Monitor inventory and report shortages (cutlery, glassware, etc.).
• Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Follow company policies and liquor laws (if serving alcohol).

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 3+ years in F&B service, preferably as a Senior Waiter or Captain.
• Communication: Fluent in English (additional languages a plus).
• Leadership: Strong supervisory and problem-solving skills.
• Customer Focus: Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long hours and lift trays.
