To assist the Outlet Manager and/or Assistant Outlet Manager to plan, organize and supervise all processes of the outlet and provides hands-on support to food and beverage colleagues to ensure the outlet provides quality service that is consistent with the SBUs Standard Operating Procedures and achieves maximum revenue and profit in line with budgeted and forecasted projections
Assists management to maintain departmental Standard Operating Procedures and ensures that all colleagues have a working knowledge and follow the SOPs at all times
Develops & maintains positive relationships with guests and employees of all levels
Consistently monitors the quality of food and beverages being served and service quality, escalating any major problems/complaints to Management
Ensures that all colleagues\' activities adhere to and support the Company\'s International Quality Management System
Provides hands-on support and assistance to colleagues to ensure the highest levels of service and courtesy are provided to guests
Supervises all aspects and consistency of food and beverage quality, service, and hygiene and escalates concerns to Management if any
Conducts team briefings, meetings, and training as/if directed by Management
Ensures that an effective link is maintained between kitchen and service areas
Supervises the level, consistency, and quality of the table and/or counter service of all menu items
Ensures that all colleagues adhere to all food hygiene regulations and procedures.
Actively promotes the use of up-selling techniques within the outlet to exceed guest expectations and increase revenue
Provides specialist advice to customers and colleagues on food and beverages
In absence of an Outlet Manager or Assistant Outlet Manager takes responsibility for operational issues
Analyse event orders, and communicate with customers, managers, and employees to ensure set-ups, equipment, supplies, staffing, and menus meet/exceed customer\'s expectations
Ensures all audio-visual equipment is set up, checked, and ready for use in collaboration with the AV and engineering departments
Prepares duty roster to be approved by the Outlet\'s manager
Conducts restaurant control (inventory)
Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management
Additional Information
Degree/Diploma in Hospitality preferred
Good command of English (both written & spoken)
Computer Literate (Micros, Microsoft applications)
Knowledge of any other language (Arabic, German, Italian, etc) as an advantage
Has a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory position preferably in a 5 Star establishment
Has a minimum of 2 years\' experience in an event serving and restaurant serving capacity
