Summary To provide a F16 Simulator Operator/Instructor Pilot to Thumrait AB, Oman in support of an on site Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) program for 1 year following training system acceptance. The CLS Operator/Instructor Pilot shall operate training devices and provide Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) Instructor Pilots with the skills necessary to independently operate a Pilot Training Simulator (PTS), Egress Procedure Trainer (EPT) as well as, assisting RAFO Instructor Pilot's with their Simulator mission training efforts. Additionally, they will support the onsite Field Engineer in a variety of maintenance duties that may require operation and system testing in support of the F16 PTS and EPT located at Thumrait AB, Oman.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Train RAFO Instructor Pilots on how to set-up, operate and properly utilize the F16 Simulator's Instructor Operator System (IOS) so that Instructor Pilots can fully exploit all training systems. To include initialization of the IOS, building initial condition sets (IC Sets) for mission training, mission initialization, weapons configuration, setting weather conditions, approach/departure profiles, aural cues, and mission communications. Train RAFO Instructor Pilots, in developing practical hands on training exercises to meet training requirements. Train RAFO Pilots on how to turn on/off IOS systems, properly utilizing the IOS safely, mission building, weapons setup and loading, and malfunction insertion/emergency procedures. Train RAFO Instructor Pilots on the proper process/techniques for communicating/reporting trainer system failures and malfunctions. Maintain, assess, and recommend improvements to training mission scenarios for effectiveness and currency. Perform required system readiness checks on flight simulation equipment and instruments. Troubleshoot, repair, and document simulator training mission/operation failures and/or malfunctions. Support maintenance tech with installation of SW changes and updates to simulators and support equipment as required. Assist maintenance tech with installation and check-out of simulator HW and support equipment modifications as required. Assist with general field site facility activities as required. Apply comprehensive knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting simulator operations manuals or similar documents. Perform other related duties as required by a site supervisor or program management

Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree. Must have at least five (5) years' experience as a qualified pilot. This is an overseas Field Service position and may require travel to other overseas locations] Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Preferred Skills A military Aircraft qualified pilot or a military Aircraft Simulator instructor within the preceding eight (8) years.

Security Responsibilities Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources. Must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Work Environment This job operates in an environmentally controlled flight simulator environment, utilizing the tools and test equipment essential to its operation, maintenance, and care. Also in this role, you will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder into a simulator or airplane cockpit. Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl on top of or under the device. Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the functioning of simulators and its surrounding environment. Must be able to distinguish colors. Shop floor environment. Will be working in areas with risk of electrical shock from electronically moving mechanical parts. Will at times be exposed to the following conditions: extreme heat, airborne particles, loud noises.
