Job Description

Primary Purpose of the Job:

Act as a Primary communication link between the Company and the Chartered LNG Carriers to ensure that the voyage is properly managed and vessels are safely and efficiently operated. Interact with Owners and/or Operators and related parties to resolve problems with regards to fleet commercial operations.
Required Experience and Skills:

Knowledge and/or Experience8 years' experience of shipping operations within a shipping/Oil/Gas Company or should have sailed as a Senior Deck; or internal transfer from marine/shipping related activities (Example: QELNG Loading and Storage) Must have previous experience and understanding of ship operations including marine loading and discharging, in LNG or LPG operations. Fresh National Graduates must complete the specially structured IDP plan prior to assuming the role of the Fleet Coordination Superintendent.

Qualifications

Marine related degree with relevant experience or Class 1 deck or Dual Engine Certificate of Competency or university degree in navigational, Sciences or Business Administration.


Technical and Business SkillsStrong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills and must be a committed team player. Proficient written and oral English language skills, able to prepare reports and give presentations. Good working understanding of Shipping Commercial documents. * Thorough understanding and knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental Standards as they relate to the Oil & Gas Industry and the Marine Environment. Experienced in Marine Incident Emergency Response desirable.
