The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company's vehicle fleet, including maintenance management, performance monitoring, driver supervision, and ensuring compliance with government regulations. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the availability of vehicles to support smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the management of the entire fleet and ensure vehicles are ready for daily operations.
Plan and schedule regular maintenance and repairs to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency.
Monitor vehicle performance and analyze data to optimize operations and improve outcomes.
Manage insurance and maintenance contracts, negotiating with vendors for the best terms.
Supervise driver recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high safety and service standards.
Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures in line with company standards and local regulations.
Prepare regular reports on operational performance, maintenance costs, and fuel consumption.
Contribute to fleet upgrade plans by recommending vehicle purchases or disposals based on operational needs.
Monitor vehicle usage to ensure optimal efficiency and minimize waste.
Coordinate with operations teams to meet transportation and logistical needs effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in fleet management or logistics operations.
Strong knowledge of vehicle tracking systems (GPS) and fleet management software.
Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Familiarity with local traffic laws and safety regulations.
Fluency in both English and Arabic (spoken and written).
Valid UAE driving license.
