Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Fleet Manager to oversee all aspects of our company's vehicle fleet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness of our fleet operations, while also leading and developing our fleet staff. This role requires a strong understanding of fleet management best practices, UAE and RTA laws, and excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:

Directly manage and lead all fleet staff and drivers, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Vehicle Renewal and Lifecycle Management:

Oversee the timely renewal of vehicle registrations, licenses, and permits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Manage the vehicle lifecycle, including acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.

Traffic Fine Management:

Implement and monitor processes for tracking and managing traffic fines, ensuring timely payment and identifying trends for preventative measures.

GPS Reporting and Analysis:

Utilize GPS tracking systems to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and analyze driver behavior for efficiency and safety improvements.

Fuel Consumption Management:

Track and analyze fuel consumption data to identify areas for optimization and cost reduction. Implement strategies to improve fuel efficiency.

Fleet Optimization:

Continuously evaluate fleet utilization and identify opportunities for optimization, including vehicle allocation, route planning, and fleet size adjustments.

Vendor Management:

Manage relationships with existing fleet-related vendors (maintenance, fuel, etc.), negotiate contracts, and ensure service quality.

Recruitment and Onboarding:

Lead the recruitment process for new fleet staff and drivers, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

Develop and manage the annual fleet budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Forecasting and Reporting:

Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for management on key fleet performance indicators, including utilization, maintenance costs, fuel consumption, and safety records.

Vendor Meetings:

Regularly meet with current and potential vendors to discuss service agreements, pricing, and explore new solutions.

Vendor Identification:

Actively research and identify new vendors offering competitive pricing and high-quality services.

Insurance Management:

Analyze current insurance policies, identify areas for improvement, and research new insurance companies to ensure optimal coverage at competitive rates.

UAE and RTA Law Compliance:

Maintain a thorough understanding of all relevant UAE and RTA laws and regulations related to fleet operations and ensure full compliance.

Accident Analysis and Prevention:

Conduct thorough analysis of vehicle accidents to identify root causes and implement preventative measures to improve safety.

Government Authority Liaison:

Act as the primary point of contact with government authorities (e.g., RTA) to resolve any fleet-related issues or inquiries.

Weekly Staff Meetings:

Conduct regular weekly meetings with fleet staff to discuss operational plans, address challenges, and ensure effective communication.

Experience:

Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in fleet management, with a proven track record of successfully managing a diverse vehicle fleet. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of staff and drivers. Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and lifecycle management. Proven ability to develop and manage budgets, control costs, and negotiate with vendors. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate insightful reports. In-depth knowledge of UAE traffic laws and regulations, specifically RTA laws. Experience in utilizing GPS tracking systems and fleet management software. Familiarity with insurance policies and claims processes. Experience in liaising with government authorities is highly desirable.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
