Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

with at least 3 years of experience in the interior design and fit-out sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and fit-out projects, from initial calculations to final figures, while ensuring value for money and project quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed

cost estimates

,

BOQs

, and

tender documents

for commercial, retail, and residential fit-out projects. Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate material take-offs and costings. Evaluate

subcontractor and supplier quotations

to ensure accuracy and competitiveness. Monitor project budgets and

prepare cost reports

throughout project life cycles. Conduct

site visits

to assess project progress and verify quantities on-site. Support the procurement team in

negotiating contracts

and managing subcontractor agreements. Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to understand scope and resolve cost-related issues. Assist in

value engineering

to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality. Update and maintain a

cost database

for internal reference and future projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in

Quantity Surveying

,

Civil Engineering

, or related field. Minimum

3 years' experience

in a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator role within the

interior design and fit-out industry

. Strong knowledge of

fit-out materials, finishes, joinery, MEP coordination

. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

,

MS Excel

, and estimation software such as

PlanSwift

,

CostX

, or similar. Good understanding of

Abu Dhabi Municipality approval processes

and client consultant procedures. Excellent

numerical and analytical skills

with strong attention to detail. Good communication and

negotiation skills

. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred:

Experience with

luxury residential or commercial fit-out

projects. Knowledge of

sustainable materials

and cost-efficient practices.
