Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and design plans.
Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials for interior fittings.
Install fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinets, partitions, and decorative elements.
Perform finishing work including sanding, staining, and polishing surfaces.
Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure project alignment.
Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site.
Adhere to building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in interior fit-out carpentry (typically 2-5 years).
Proficiency with hand and power tools (e.g., saws, drills, chisels).
Strong understanding of materials like wood, MDF, gypsum board, and laminates.
Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
Attention to detail and precision in measurements and finishes.
Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment
Construction sites, commercial buildings, retail stores, and residential properties.
May involve working at heights or in confined spaces.
Often requires flexibility to work overtime or weekends to meet deadlines.
