Firefighting & Plumbing Engineer

with a proven track record in designing, executing, and coordinating authority-compliant systems across villa, townhouse, and low-rise developments in Dubai.

About the Role

This role demands an engineer who not only understands the technical intricacies of plumbing and firefighting systems but also navigates authority approvals and site coordination with precision. You will play a key role in ensuring all active systems are designed, installed, and commissioned in accordance with UAE codes, Dubai Municipality (DM), and Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design and coordinate complete firefighting and plumbing systems for villa and low-rise projects in compliance with UAE Fire & Life Safety Code and DM/DCD regulations Prepare detailed shop drawings, schematic layouts, hydraulic calculations, and technical submittals for authority and consultant approvals Liaise with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors for on-site execution, testing, and commissioning Lead the preparation of material submittals and technical documents aligned with DCD and DEWA standards Attend authority inspections, handle submissions, and ensure full compliance throughout project cycles Identify value engineering opportunities without compromising design integrity or safety compliance Collaborate closely with architectural, civil, and MEP disciplines to avoid service clashes and delays

Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Minimum of

5 years of relevant experience

, including at least

3 years in Dubai

handling firefighting and plumbing systems for villas and low-rise buildings Demonstrated experience with

DM, DCD, and DEWA procedures

, submittals, and approvals Strong understanding of local authority regulations, design standards, and construction documentation Proficient in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit and hydraulic calculation tools preferred Well-versed in UAE health and safety standards and project-based QA/QC documentation Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing fast-paced project environments UAE driving license is an advantage
