Job Title: Firefighter

Job Responsibilities:
Firefighter is responsible for protecting all the assets of Power Plant Site from fire related incidents. Responsibilities include two objectives that are the prevention to the highest standards of Fire incidents that might result from abnormal operating conditions, and maximum reduction of potential adverse effects as a result of normal operating conditions. A key knowledge required for this position is the identification and good understanding of the national regulatory requirements in terms of Fire, the implications of which must be communicated to the Supervisor to implement suitable measures. Firefighter will be expected to have good communication, and will require good understanding of Fire prevention in similar/related type of organizations.
To save life and the Company's assets, by protecting from fire.
Comply with applicable laws and regulations. Render humanitarian services.
Liaise/ work with civil defense personnel in case civil defense is called on site in an emergency.
Be conversant with practical firefighting procedures.
To be conversant with all breathing apparatus, First Aid, and lifesaving and procedures.
Regularly monitor to check the function and healthiness of the fire truck including fuel availability.
Participate and perform routine fire pump checks along with operations staff
Monitor and provide services in case of a fire impairment.
Provide rescue in case of confined space or working at height incidents.
Perform mock drills as per procedure.
Participate in close out of observations.
