Use CAD software to design fire systems (sprinklers, alarms, hydrants, suppression systems).
Review architectural and engineering drawings to ensure correct placement of firefighting equipment.
Coordinate with project teams to gather and apply technical details.
Follow fire safety codes (e.g., NFPA, local regulations).
Update drawings based on team feedback or regulatory changes.
Prepare as-built drawings after installation.
Maintain records of drawings, revisions, and project documents.
Help with material calculations and preparing bills of materials.
Visit sites to gather data or confirm system installation.
Collaborate with other teams (mechanical, electrical, civil) for system integration.
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor in Drafting, Engineering, or related field.
3-5 years of drafting experience (firefighting or mechanical systems preferred).
Skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
Knowledge of fire safety standards (e.g., NFPA, IFC) and building codes.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Can read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
Hydraulic calculations knowledge is an advantage.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Work Setup:
Office-based with some site visits.
