Jensen Hughes has a newly created position for an experienced Sr. Fire Engineer/ Consultant in our Dubai, UAE location. We are looking for highly motivated, experienced individuals with strong analytical and creative thinking skills to manage hospitality projects workload in the region. This is a Client facing role and therefore a solid Technical understanding along with excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. We are a leading fire protection consulting firm providing a range of professional services involving life safety and fire protection in projects for hospitality clients worldwide. Qualified candidates will have experience and passion in Code Consulting, Performance Based Design, and/or Fire Protection System Design. Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for this role include:
Manage Projects and manage and coordinate technical workload of hospitality projects
Willing to travel extensively (over 50%), mainly in the Middle East and Africa regions to support hospitality meetings, workshops, and inspections
Attend Client meetings and Design meetings
Prepare and present Technical Reports and presentations
Lead and carry out Design reviews
Participate in various levels of Business Development, including meetings and presentations with Clients and developing proposals
Qualifications:

To set you up for success in this role from day one (at a minimum) the following qualifications/experience are required:
Technical Degree in Fire Engineering and related experience in Code consulting, design of fire suppression and alarm systems, and developing performance-based strategies in a project design environment is required.
5 years of experience in Fire engineering highly desirable
Chartered Engineer or PE highly desirable
Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills including speaking and writing in English. Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies, speak in public, negotiate, explain fire protection concepts, and enforce standards while strengthening relationships, occasionally under pressure
Can work independently and as part of a team, enjoy professional challenges and wants to be an integral part of the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes.
Experience in the Middle East market is highly desirable
Strong Project Management capabilities and understanding of Project Financial management
