The Company Robert Half is working on an exclusive basis with a well-known Utilities business based in Abu Dhabi. Due to continued success, they are now looking to recruit a Finance Senior Business Partner. The Role The Finance Senior Business Partner is responsible for executing the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting exercises throughout the organisation. In addition, the Finance Senior Business partner is responsible for implementing the financial strategy, monitoring financial performance, developing financial models and liaising with relevant functions to ensure desired financial performance of the organisation. The Finance Senior Business Partner is responsible for building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with the relevant stakeholders for the departments that they are in charge of supporting. This includes leading on all financial matters, influencing decision making, improving the understanding of business performance and delivering analysis and insight on potential opportunities. Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Develop financial analysis and trends outlook for significant value drivers specifically in nuclear/solar/renewables/oil & gas portfolio (e.g. tariffs, outages, ad-hoc analysis, contracts, internal OPEX, etc.)
Deliver business performance insights and reporting for the portfolio including periodic forecasting, commentary, identification and interpretation of monthly performance and variances between actuals and budgets
Deliver effective commercial procedures, or initiate change, to ensure that key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered
Establish the development of detailed financial models and \'what if\' scenarios, challenge assumptions and analyse results; advise on areas for improvement and change based on model outcomes
Build financial tools and models to support review and set-up of cost budget and forecasts
Provide financial advisory and insights on business cases and highlight risks and opportunities to facilitate decision-making
Provide cost analysis of existing and potential projects and recommend viability to management
Support the assessment of potential regulatory changes on financial results with internal and external stakeholders
Conduct due-diligence for portfolio expansions and ad-hoc financial modelling and analysis
Effectively communicate financial results to non-finance business stakeholders
Implement, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, remedial actions to address business performance issues
Assist in ensuring quality and integrity of data being used across the finance teams
Promote a culture of cost awareness/efficiency
Implement all relevant section policies, processes, and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
Execute the continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account \'international leading practice\' and changes in business environment and leveraging insights. This includes supporting the related change management efforts
Adhere to the company values (including sustainability, integrity, collaboration and innovation)
Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet the section requirements, policies and standards
The Candidate
Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related field
Master\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or equivalent preferred
Professional Finance certification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
Minimum of 6-8 years of extensive experience in a commercial finance or related role, preferably in a:
Diverse/multi-cultural business industry (obtained from medium to large organisation)
Multi-national company
Energy and utility sector (preferably in nuclear)/renewables
