As a Finance Controller, you will provide dedicated financial support on all financial matters including but not limited to annual budgets, management accounts, management reporting, accounting standards and treasury. You will engag and partner with the business using domain specific deep dive reports, identify key issues & risks, KPI trend and provide exceptional reporting to the management. The is a 6 month temp contract role based in Abu Dhabi, as part of Dunya Travel.

In this role, you will:
  • Control overall receivable\xe2\x80\x99s function which includes overseeing Invoice submission, ageing of receivables, timely receipting and allocation of amount collected, controlling DSO.
  • Review and ensure sales records always reflect the correct outstanding positions and ensuring Credit risk policy compliances.
  • Validate and check payments to maintain creditors profile to enable the party to be dealt with professionally.
  • Support the development for a long-term financial plan and annual budget based on key drivers of the line department and their respective business plans and to provide back up evidence to FAM with detailed analysis, to appropriately challenge budget assumptions.
  • Be responsible for monthly MIS report preparation, EMP, COGNOS and all other related reporting etc.
  • Be responsible for compiling, preparation of the required reports/statements related to VAT collected for local Government and arrange for the submission of the report/ statement in line with the required schedule.
  • Implement day-to-day operations assigned and ensures compliance with the established standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate with banks, lead the coordination with Internal and External Auditors, developing action plans based on audit observations and lead the closing of all observations.
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Finance, Insurance or Management Accounting.
  • Strong accounting and technical skills in a service company with different lines of business.

  • Experience as a qualified accountant within a large organisation, preferably within the travel industry.
