Finance Analyst- Sharjah Accounts & Finance

Main Duties & Responsibilities.

Business Analysis

• Support the business with data transformation, validation and ETL related needs
• Design, develop and implement automated KPI data tracking tools and processes
• Market analysis \xe2\x80\x93 what are our markets, current and potential customers, size of the prize, spending profiles & macro market trends
• Competitor analysis - SWOT, services and strengths & customers by location etc
• Account plan support \xe2\x80\x93 customer background, structure/org chart, contact identification, focus areas, and mapping to company\xe2\x80\x99s services
• Pricing and costs \xe2\x80\x93 market pricing analysis, development of pricing & cost models

Financial Analysis:

• Create insight from data \xe2\x80\x93 e.g. proactively looking at various datasets to \xe2\x80\x9cjoin the dots\xe2\x80\x9d
• Build, automate and maintain usable dashboard style reports
• Support for modelling of Operational Reporting & ad Hoc Analysis
• Sales data analysis
• Cost modelling
• Work on other data projects as directed by the FBP

Operational Metrics:

• Ensure accurate upload and reconciliation of monthly financial and operational metrics
• Assist with centralising compilation of UK operational metrics
• Metric trend review and root cause analysis

Skills & Attributes:

• Advanced Excel skills necessary (proficiency with VBA a distinct advantage)
• Knowledge of Power Query, Power Pivot and DAX is advantageous
• Confidence with manipulating large and complex datasets
• Outstanding analytical skills and sharp attention-to-detail
• Thrive in a fast-paced and fluid environment
• Experience in maintaining and generating insight reporting
• Experience in presenting data findings
• Keen eye for automation and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of testing and assurance industry would be beneficial

Minimum Qualifications:

• Studying towards professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA)
• Mathematics and/or statistics and English A level or equivalent at B or above
• Solid analytical background
• Solid record of insight generation and influencing strategy through data insight
• Be able to diagnose problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues

Experience:

• 2+ years in an accounting or IT environment, preferably in an analytical role
• Background in a multi-divisional business an advantage
• Experience in use of business intelligence packages (e.g. Power BI)

Location:

• The job will predominantly be based in the office
• Travel to the operational sites will be required
