Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented FF&E Interior Designer to join our team, based in Dubai, UAE. This position is responsible for the creative selection, specification, and coordination of all furniture, fixtures, equipment, and accessories for high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects. The role requires a strong sense of design aesthetics, an in-depth knowledge of materials and suppliers, and the ability to manage FF&E packages from concept to installation.
We envisage success in this role to include;
Design & Concept Development
Collaborate with the design team to develop FF&E concepts aligned with the overall design vision.
Prepare mood boards, material boards, and colour palettes for client presentations.
Source, research, and select furniture, fabrics, finishes, lighting, and accessories.
Specification & Documentation
Prepare detailed FF&E specifications, schedules, and procurement documents.
Create and maintain FF&E budgets, ensuring selections meet project cost parameters.
Produce technical drawings, detailed elevations, and layouts for FF&E elements.
Procurement & Coordination
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to obtain samples, quotes, and lead times.
Negotiate pricing and ensure quality standards are met.
Oversee procurement processes in collaboration with the procurement team or purchasing agents.
Project Management & Installation
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and consultants to ensure FF&E elements integrate seamlessly into the design.
Conduct site visits to review installations and ensure alignment with design intent.
Prepare snag lists and follow up on rectifications where necessary.
Quality Control & Compliance
Ensure all FF&E selections meet relevant codes, sustainability requirements, and client specifications.
Maintain and update the FF&E library and supplier database. Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 3+ years of relevant experience partnered with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and or Interior Design.
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture, Revit Architecture, Sketchup and PhotoShop, Illustrator and In-Design.
