The FF&E AutoCAD Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed AutoCAD drawings for furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) as per project requirements, design intent, and client specifications. The role involves supporting the project teams by producing shop drawings, detailed joinery/FF&E layouts, and ensuring compliance with standards and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed AutoCAD drawings for FF&E items, including furniture, fixtures, accessories, and joinery.
Prepare shop drawings, assembly details, and fabrication drawings based on design intent and specifications.
Coordinate with design, project, and production teams to ensure drawings align with project requirements.
Revise and update drawings as required during the project lifecycle (design changes, client feedback, site conditions, etc.).
Maintain organized drawing files and documentation for easy reference and handover.
Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with design standards, codes, and client expectations.
Assist in preparing presentation drawings and layouts when required.
Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and production teams to finalize technical details.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); knowledge of other design software (SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max) is an advantage.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in drafting, preferably in FF&E, joinery, or interior fit-out.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
Ability to interpret design concepts and translate them into shop drawings.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
