Ensure guests receive excellent service and satisfaction throughout their dining experience, anticipating needs and providing personalized attention
Supervise and guide waiters during service to maintain hotel standards and smooth workflow
Manage table assignments, reservations, and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow
Check accuracy of orders taken, confirm special requests, and coordinate timely delivery to guests
Promote menu items, specials, and beverages through effective upselling techniques and suggest pairings
Communicate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth order execution and resolve delays quickly
Handle minor guest complaints professionally and escalate major issues to the Team Leader promptly
Train and mentor waiters on service etiquette, menu knowledge, and hotel policies for consistent quality
Inspect table setups, cutlery, glassware, and cleanliness before and during service to uphold standards
Assist with billing, payment processing, and provide feedback to the Team Leader on staff performance and operational improvements
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality or equivalent qualification
Minimum 1-2 year of experience in food and beverage service, preferably in a 5-star hotel environment
Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards, menu items, wines, and beverages
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to handle guest interactions professionally
