Greet and welcome guests warmly; ensure a high standard of hospitality.
Assist guests with menu selection, provide recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
Take and confirm orders accurately, ensuring correct entry into the POS system.
Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service of all orders.
Check guest satisfaction throughout the meal and handle any complaints promptly and professionally.
Oversee table setup, cleanliness, and presentation according to restaurant standards.
Ensure all guests receive prompt, efficient, and courteous service.
Team Supervision & Training
Supervise waiters, waitresses, and runners within the section.
Assign duties and monitor staff performance during service.
Train new service staff in sequence of service, menu knowledge, and customer service techniques.
Ensure grooming and appearance of staff meet company standards.
Lead by example and maintain a positive, team-oriented environment.
Sales & Operations
Promote daily specials, upsell food and beverage items to increase revenue.
Handle reservations and coordinate seating arrangements.
Assist in preparing bills and handling payments when required.
Support the Restaurant Supervisor in daily operational reports and inventory control.
Ensure compliance with all F&B policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Administrative & Closing Duties
Check and prepare side stations for the next shift (cutlery, glassware, condiments, etc.).
Ensure tables and service areas are reset properly after each guest leaves.
Report any maintenance issues or shortages to the supervisor.
Participate in daily briefings and communicate relevant updates to the team.
