Job Description
We have an opening for a freelance journalist. The opportunity offers hands-on experience in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, Public Relations and integrated marketing firm. We seek self-starters, open to gaining broad experience and sharing creativity through creative ideas and editorial content. The incumbent will work on developing content for fashion, and brands reviews. The position also includes Research, photo sourcing, and writing news articles online. The ideal candidate is deeply interested in all things fashion and how it\'s connected to identity and culture and is always searching for innovative products and quality newness that excites our readers and serves their needs. From buzzy new fashion trends to the latest runways scoop, to Street styles. The columnist will be eagerly seeking out what works (and what doesn\'t) and reporting back. Key Skills:

- computer, technical, and organizational skills;
- ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Supporting the Senior Fashion Editor with our regular fashion features, from generating exciting new ideas, to writing copy.
- Providing support with the overall planning of fashion editorial and calendar events.
- Digital experience is preferable.
- Excellent writing skills and creative thinking.
- In-depth knowledge and passion for the fashion industry.
- Natural organizational abilities and strong attention to detail are a must.
- Integrity and honesty a must
- Excellent portfolio
- 1 - 5 yrs or more demonstrated experience in Journalism or Freelance journalism
- Displays effective writing skills;
- Able to work in a team and independent setting;
- Detail-oriented and conscientious; requiring little follow-up;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
- candidate displays a high level of achievement within his/her chosen field.
- 2+ years experience in writing and/or editing in the fashion space, preferably in digital media
- Adept at best practices for search and social
- Ability to write and edit quickly, without compromising brand integrity and mission.
