Job Description

mselect is looking to hire a Facility Supervisor (HVAC and Fire) for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years construction experience as Site Engineer for HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing & Firefighting Works related to high-rise building. Fluency in English is a must.

Key Responsibilities Supervise the site construction/installation of work of relevant engineering disciplines of assigned construction contracts and ensure that the work is carried out in safe manner and in compliance with scope of work, approved engineering standards and specifications Participate in constructability reviews as and when required Review contractorsaEUR(TM) construction plans and schedules including method statements and JSAS Monitor the progress of construction in accordance with the planned schedule Check, inspect and test completed project work and/or arrange appropriate pre- commissioning inspections and tests initiate mechanical completion certificates Ensure and follow up completion and clearance of all punch list items Review and endorse red marked up and "as builtaEUR drawings Participate in hand-over and acceptance, review commissioning procedures and participate in the commissioning of facilities Review and endorse construction dossier for the assigned projects Accountable for all action and decisions initiated to meet targets and goals as defined Works independently within established procedures and is expected to use analytical and intuitive capabilities for decisions Responsible for accuracy and quality of work Supervise the facility management contractoraEUR(TM)s daily operations and maintenance Participate in technical evaluation, budgeting, planning and work execution on sites Evaluate all technical issues on site related to design and operation and provide recommendation Ensure services are delivered in accordance with the facility management contract Analyze non-conformances and KPI date for trends, review technical reports and recommend continuous improvement in the projects Supervise day to day maintenance activities on the facilities and manage the activities of the appointed FM operator Maintain a working relationship and full coordination to all stakeholders to provide a high level of service Implement procedures, standards, and performance criteria to supervise the facilities

Requirements BacheloraEUR(TM)s degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline from a recognized University or Diploma with extensive construction experience in supervision of HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire & Safety Works related to high-rise building projects A minimum of 10 years construction experience as Site Engineer for HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing & Firefighting Works related to high-rise buildings Experienced and knowledgeable in the implementation of industry best practices and systems, processes, codes, and standards related to construction Good skills in construction management, planning and leadership, team building, and conflict resolution Good presentation skills and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and active listener Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments are critical Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Outlook Knowledge in the use of CAFM/CMMS, and CAD is preferred
