Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Facility Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to be responsible for the operation and maintenance of buildings and services to ensure that best practices are followed for maximum efficiency and that the most suitable working environment is attained for its employees and their activities.
What You\'ll Be Doing:
The Facility Manager will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of buildings and services.
Manage, supervise and coordinate the work of contractors
Investigate the availability and suitability of options for new premises
Calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money
Plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives
Manage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities
Direct, coordinate and plan essential services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling
Ensure buildings meet health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation
keep staff safe
Plan best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new buildings, or re-organizing of current premises
Check that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies
Coordinate and lead one or more teams to cover various areas of responsibility
Use performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement
Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences.
Participates in client presentations as required.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management (or related field) is required and typically 12+ years of related experience, including experience as a project team leader.
The ability to multitask and prioritize your workload
The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English and Arabic is essential
Specifying the nature and quality of materials required.
Knowledge of computers and basic software applications such as: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Requires proficiency in the application of engineering standards, practices, and techniques
Project definition, planning and management experience required
Requires a working knowledge of commercial construction codes and their application to existing facilities
Strong written and oral communication skills
