As a Facilities Engineer, you will oversee complex building systems and maintenance activities, implementing effective strategies for continuous improvement and cost efficiency. You will lead troubleshooting efforts, manage maintenance personnel, and ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural elements
Review and optimise maintenance programs (preventive, predictive, corrective).
Evaluate vendor contracts (cleaning, security, HVAC, etc.) for cost savings and performance.
Handle emergency breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime.
Conduct regular inspections of facility infrastructure, identifying and addressing potential safety hazards proactively.
Develop and maintain accurate documentation of facility layouts, equipment specifications, and maintenance records.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on engineering roles
Proven experience overseeing building operations and maintenance
Strong technical expertise in building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
Excellent leadership and team management abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and maintenance staff
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards
