The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for facade systems including curtain walls, cladding, glazing, metalwork, and other building envelope components. You will collaborate with project managers, designers, suppliers, and clients to ensure competitive, timely, and accurate project bids.
Key Responsibilities:
Review architectural and structural drawings to understand facade requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for facade systems including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date pricing and technical specifications.
Analyze project specifications and identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks.
Assist in tender submissions including take-offs, pricing schedules, and bid documentation.
Participate in value engineering and design optimization processes.
Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required.
Collaborate with the design and project management teams to ensure estimate accuracy and feasibility.
Maintain a database of costs, vendors, and historical project data.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working for a facade contractor or specialist subcontractor.
